BABY SHOWER!!

Yesterday started out to a great day, I got myself a little makeover from style wigs by Shira https://m.facebook.com/Style.SheitalsandMore?__user=100006992143361
They did an amazing job dying my wig to the right color for me. I truly recommend them for any of your needs; they were so nice and friendly. I also even enjoyed my time just hanging out there they made me feel very welcomed! Checked them out, give them a try, buy that new wig for yourself that you know you are over due on getting. Tell them I sent you :)
As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, I was attending the Big City Moms “Biggest Baby Shower” and how excited I was, I waited anxiously all day for it to finally be the right time to head to city for the 'shower' (the whole name is just too long and a tongue twister). The shower was called for 5:30pm or 6:30pm depending on what ticket you had, my entrance was at 6:30pm. As it got closer to 5pm, I was filled with joy and started counting down the minutes for my friend to get home from work so we could make our way over there. It was 5:20 and we were finally leaving; it was little later than planned but there was enough time to get to the city. But about 15 miles away we suddenly hit traffic, and that 15 mile stretch took us over a half hour to get through! My hormones and my pregnancy anxiousness didn't do well with the traffic, but my friend is pregnant as well and we worked it out quite calmly! 7:20 we finally pull up to our parking spot. We actually got very lucky and were able to park on the street, it was a 20 second walk away from the front door.
Yay, we were finally in! So exited we got to work right away. Running around collecting sample, coupons and entering in to any contest we possibly can. Talking to as many vendors as we can, most of them were supper nice and were thrilled to talk for as long as you'd like about their products, your pregnancy or anything else you had to say.
I haven't mentioned in my previous posts how I'm carrying pretty small. I have a lot of funny stories and eventually I'll dedicate a post to all of them. But for now just keep it in your mind. As I made my way around, some of the representatives from different vendors weren't sure if I was even pregnant. They couldn't just assume and say something so they casually asked a question, for example if there product was to help back pain they asked do you or did you have back pain during your pregnancy? Very nonchalantly they all came up with creative ways of getting it out of me. And my replay was, "I'm 27 weeks pregnant" (depending how you count that's 7 months already) I intentionally said it because people's reactions are priceless and it never gets old hearing different reactions.
These are some reactions I have gotten last night:
1: No, you’re 27weeks! I thought you were maybe only 4 months.

2: There's a baby instead of you? But, where?

3: I didn't wanna be rude and talk about you being pregnant because I wasn't sure if you were

4: You sure you’re 27 weeks?

To be honest I actually enjoy the attention!
The night was coming to an end, as we waiting online to receive our gift bags as we exit. (as if we didn't get enough cool things just walking around collecting samples) we also each got a candy with a number on it that will determine what kind of awesome prize well be leaving with. I got a cute noise maker and my lucky friend received a car seat! I'm not ganna lie, I was a little jealous! But we still each got an awesome massive gift bag filled with really cool things!  Check out the photos on Facebook of the shower and the gift bags here https://m.facebook.com/send_page_invite/?pageid=178498315685928&reference=admin&_rdr#!/profile.php?id=178498315685928&__user=100006992143361
Because people had so many things to carry to their cars, they had a few men to help you bring it out. As two pregnant women, we weren't about to start carrying all of it ourselves, so we took the offer for someone to help. We made sure to ask if we would have any trouble getting back in to use the restroom and we were told we wouldn't have any trouble running back in. But, we did as we made our way back in we were asked where we were headed, so we said the restroom. We weren't in a rush to leave, so we strolled our way there and started to head over to some of the Big City Mom volunteers working the event when we were stopped and harshly told the restroom was “that way” and halfway escorted (almost pushed!) there. I don't think this nasty woman had anything to do with Big City Moms. I think she was more an event planner because she was very concerned about getting everybody out for her next event. Feeling a little bit annoyed we decided to be the bigger person and not mention anything. So was we were exiting we headed over again to talk with Big City Moms when they same women stopped us and said very rudely "Ladies, I was kind enough to let you use the bathroom, you need to leave ...NOW!" Ok, maybe it was my hormones, but I left with tears in my eyes. I would have started to cry but I was too embarrassed! That was the only downside to my night. But, when I got home and opened my gift bag, it made me feel happier!! :)
